About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for receipt and shipment of incoming materials, supplies, and products. This position reports to the Materials Manager.

  • Minimum 3-year experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel)
  • Familiar with material handling equipment. (i.e. forklift)
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
  • Display a sense of urgency in serving the customer
  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Stand 10 hours a day
  • Good manual hand dexterity
  • Good Eye hand coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to bend, twist and turn.

  • Oracle experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment and inspects condition.
  • Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods used. Verifies quantities and initiates corrections as needed.
  • Distributes material based on distribution tickets
  • Prepares, skids, ships and receives OSP orders
  • Picks, packs and ships Rush Orders
  • Assembles orders, confirms shippers and verifies customer orders.
  • Responsible for accurately performing inventory transactions.
  • Builds pallets, crates or skids for domestic and international shipping
  • Performs Shipping and Receiving transaction, coordinates trucks through Freight, FedEx and UPS portal, communicates with and provides updates to Customer Service and Purchasing
  • Self-sufficient in routine assigned tasks and capable of independent follow-up related to these tasks.
  • Operates material handling equipment as required to move parts, fixtures and materials.
  • Ensures on-time delivery of product, verifies correct product is received from suppliers and assists with material handling to support production.
  • Capable of following instructions and achieving productivity targets.
  • Utilizes basic math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ensures that all responsibilities and functions performed are in accordance with company policy and procedures and meet required quality standards.
  • Reports all non-conformances to appropriate levels.
  • Must be able to obtain power industrial truck certification.
  • Conducts safety checks of equipment operated (i.e. hi-lo, lift truck, etc.)
  • Advises supervisor of conduct that may violate rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
