Join the Food Manufacturing Industry in a Manufacturing, Production, Warehouse, Factory type role! 2nd Shift 3:30pm-12:00am Wage range starts at $18.00 per hour, range is based on Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Under the direct supervision of the operations manager this position provides administrative and clerical support for the Operations Manager and the Lincoln location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a customer service or phone order entry role preferred
  • High degree of professionalism required
  • Computer skills including Word and Excel required. Experience with Access preferred
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred
  • Must be able to prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadline.
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure
  • Helpful / cooperative attitude and a team player
  • Pleasant phone voice that projects responsiveness and sincerity
  • Ability and initiative to implement process improvements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

  • This is largely a static role with occasional standing. The ability to perform repetitive bending and walking is also required. This would require the ability to lift 10-35 lbs. occasionally.
  • This role is office-based and occasionally operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (usually 38) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production-type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for duration of shift when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as an assistant to both the VAS Supervisors and the VAS clerical staff.

  • Checking in Trucks
  • Answering Phones
  • Communicating with Customers

  • record-keeping
  • lead, coordinate and prioritize VAS operation tasks directed by Supervisor
  • Responding to customer phone call and emails
  • Scheduling inbound and out bound trucks
  • Maintaining bill of lading and other shipping and receiving records
  • Coordination and communication with Production employees regarding product
  • Accurately tracking product inventory
  • Assists with record maintenance and filing
  • Verify inventory is scanned in accurately – inbound and outbound on VAS
  • Creating picks properly with no errors
  • Getting the week closed on Monday
  • Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
  • Handle any minor tasks related to the duties of the position
