The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator serves as the operational lead and backup to the Shipping & Receiving Manager, supporting all warehousing, inbound receiving, outbound freight coordination, and inventory control activities for the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate order fulfillment, transportation planning, inbound material verification, freight cost control, and real-time inventory integrity. The Coordinator acts as a key liaison between the plant, sales team, carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure accurate documentation, quality compliance, and on-time delivery. This is a working lead position providing daily direction, guidance, and training to material handlers and pickers while maintaining hands-on responsibility for receiving inspections, shipping documentation, freight optimization, and ERP system accuracy.

Requirements

High School Diploma required. College degree preferred.
5–10 years of experience in warehousing, freight coordination, or logistics operations.
Forklift Certification
Experience with LTL/FTL freight, broker coordination, and rate negotiation.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory control processes.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics software platforms.
Ability to analyze freight invoices and cost data.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
Flexibility to adjust schedule, including overtime, to meet shipping deadlines.
