About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator supports the development of a new, state-of-the-art Takeda facility, expanding capacity for shipping, receiving, and material transfers across the site. You will manage receiving of Covington and Round Lake raw materials, perform and verify daily warehouse operations, and support Plasma operations including receipt of plasma units, disposition, and transfers using the Automated Plasma Dispositioning System (APDS). You will provide end-to-end support for Plasma and Ambient warehouses using the JD Edwards (JDE) inventory management system. You will support the supervisor to drive warehouse productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Requires a HS Diploma and minimum 4+ years of related experience.
  • 5-7 years of warehouse and/or technical office experience required
  • Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems and pc environments.
  • Must be able to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound/outbound carrier check-ins, direct drivers, and assign doors/trailers using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet scheduled load/unload times.
  • Verify receipts against shipper packing lists, resolve quantity discrepancies, and ensure accurate, timely system transactions before inventory is posted.
  • Prepare daily shift paperwork and work assignments (BOLs, packing lists, seal numbers, barcode/label assignments) to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Partner with Production and Warehouse teams to investigate and resolve inventory variances, documentation gaps, and other shipping/receiving issues.
  • Support Manufacturing Plasma Operations by receiving plasma shipments (physical and electronic) and executing automated/manual disposition per teardown schedule.
  • Stage dispositioned plasma for production; identify and segregate questionable units in +5°C and -20°C areas for “On Hold”/“Quarantine” processing.
  • Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) and maintain accurate GDP/GMP documentation while complying with FDA/OSHA/MSDS, SOPs, and safety requirements.
  • Provide backup coverage and leadership as needed (including in the absence of the Supervisor/Warehouse Lead), participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives, and maintain current training/SOP revision records.
