About The Position

Performs the responsibilities detailed below for the area assigned. Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES: Environmental and Safety Requirements. Follows safe operating procedures. Maintain 7S standards. Review and follows quality, process, and operator instructions. Accurately weigh and count parts for shipments. Securely pack material using shrink wrap, banding, etc. per customer specifications. Pack and label, including bar-coding, products properly for our customers and outside vendors. Understands ASN's; creating, how to send, verifying, and troubleshooting errors and correct within given window for affected customer. Including the backup system. Create, maintain, and understand shipping schedules from Plex and production control. Create packing slips, commercial invoices, SED’s and bill of ladings for all shipments (including drop shipping) Communicate clearly and concisely with supervisors, team leaders, production control, customers, logistics personnel, carriers, and other shipping personnel. Perform quality checks as required and accurately records using Plexus or required method. Identifies, contains and generates Non-Conforming Material Report (NCM) for any non-conforming material and forwards to the Material Review Board (MRB). Actively participates in continuous improvement activities. Completes end of the month inventory check in warehouses and at Outside Service Providers. Responsible for completion of other tasks within this job classification as assigned by the supervisor or team leader. Responsible for dunnage and packaging management Responsible for maintaining shipping files and supplies in an orderly fashion. Perform visual audit of material for damage, part verification, and quantity received from outside suppliers. Verify routing on both outgoing and incoming product to ensure proper processing. Enter scrap received from outside service into Plex. Cross train for back up coverage as required in shipping functions. Match packing slip to the subcontract shipper to verify item and receipt quantity. Contact outside service suppliers to check order status or expedite items as required. Reference the Physical Demand Analysis for this job. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fork Truck Training/ License.
  • Medical Examiners Certificate required for driving company box truck (Class C)
  • Ability to handle cartons weighing up to approx. 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Work in a team-based environment, be self-motivated, have good organizational skills, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Read and follow detailed written instructions and update those instructions to comply with TS 16949.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Learn proper use of scales for weighing and counting parts.
  • Proficient data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills, Plex, E-mail, Web Browsers, Excel, customer portals, and small parcel portals
  • High School Diploma or GED certification
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to safely work in an industrial environment around machinery, noise, and manufacturing activity.
