Job DutiesPrepare and arrange for shipment of product for external operationsComplete and update daily shipping scheduleComplete shipping logs and verify items on receiving logsArrange for shipment as specified by customer or “best way”Troubleshoot and communicate with carrier representatives with situations ariseProvide shipment tracking to internal and external customers as neededEnter all necessary shipping information into company softwareVerifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipmentCompares information and counts, weights or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other recordsRecord and report shortages or damaged goodsUse computer software to generate labelsPeriodically perform physical inventory of materials Assists in unloading shipments from delivery trucksUses dollies, forklifts and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dockRequirementsExperience working in a manufacturing environmentPrefer minimum of two years in a Shipping Clerk roleMust have strong computer skillsPrevious lift truck experienceMust be able to achieve and maintain a Power Industrial Truck operator permitSelf-started and be able to work in varying environmentStrong organizational skillsMust be able to work as a team player
