A Shipping/Receiving Clerk is a professional who keeps track of and checks in on incoming shipments to ensure inventory doesn’t get lost in transport. They also track and inventory outgoing goods. Performs required BPCS and audit functions to assure accurate reporting of: storage inventories Receivings Shipments Miscellaneous transactions Cycle counting Greet drivers and check them in and out. Assign them to a specific door. Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.). Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt. Print bill of ladings and review for accuracy. Must be fully trained and knowledgeable of the following BPCS inquiries: Purchase Orders Material Status Lot Trace/Product Retrieval Kuebix system Maintain files and records to ensure easy access to current and historic inventory information. Assists with monthly, quarterly, and physical inventories. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Adheres to common safety procedures. Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
