About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Elemet Manufacturing. The mission of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to package, ship, receive, and perform other warehouse and shipping duties while following established procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of Shipping and Receiving experience preferred
• Strong computer skills – Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic knowledge of shipment setup via UPS, FEDEX, and freight trucking preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• High level of communication skills
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Consistently wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels

Responsibilities

• Receive and process material orders daily, including accepting and labeling deliveries, and distribute packages and letters internally.
• Prepare shipping documents and schedule freight pickups as required.
• Route freight to provide the most economical transport of goods and meet customer requirements.
• Prepare products, spare parts, return parts, or other items for shipment.
• Inspect freight upon arrival, document signs of damage, resolve freight claims in a timely manner.
• Verify receipts of purchased goods from suppliers, locate product, process paperwork, and complete all necessary transactions.
• Pick parts and product from inventory locations.
• Maintain shipping supply inventory.
• Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to move material to and from shipping or receiving platform to storage area or work area.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assist and support the Shipping and Receiving department, and Operations Manager with other tasks as needed.
