About The Position

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has one immediate opening for Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Peoria IL This is a first shift job that pays $19.00 / hr. Overall Purpose The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy at the point of receiving, shipping and general warehousing. This position requires proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. This person works closely with the warehouse team to ensure inventory accuracy and care of our customer's material. Reports to Direct : Site Manager/Logistics Team Lead Indirect : Area Manager/ Director of Operations

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of warehousing methods and shipping procedures
  • Operating-level proficiency using computerized inventory control systems
  • Operating-level proficiency using Microsoft Office EXCEL
  • Must be able to speak and read in English language
  • Good communications skills
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Detailed Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the details of a project or task.
  • Self-motivated – Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative.

  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Freight-forwarding work experience preferred
  • Warehousing and logistics operations work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments through goods receipt and entering shipments into WITS (Web Inventory Tracking System)
  • Create appropriate shipping labels and other applicable shipping documents for outbound shipments
  • Perform daily dock audits for verification of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks and verify that related documents are completed correctly
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Conduct and reconcile cycle counts
  • Conduct and reconcile yearly physical inventory
  • Research, identify, and locate inventory discrepancy
  • Segregate and dispose of defective materials
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
