Team JAS, Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join their team. This role involves performing order fulfillment, packaging, receiving, and shipment duties for various boxes and materials. Key responsibilities include receiving purchase orders, organizing inventory for efficient retrieval, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, documenting any damages to inventory, and ensuring the accuracy of packaged products. The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. They are expected to be reliable, focused, and capable of fulfilling responsibilities without constant supervision. Practical knowledge of warehouse operations, including proper packaging, documentation, and inventory management procedures, is essential. Familiarity with shipping software, basic computer skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records are also required. Experience with quality systems and a background in the aviation or logistics industry is considered a plus. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, shipping software, and standard warehouse procedures.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately complete documentation and maintain records.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Quality Systems such as ASA-100 and ISO standards.
  • Experience in quality inspection, including documentation and material inspection.
  • Knowledge of aviation industry standards, including proper parts handling and documentation practices.
  • Experience with parcel booking software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL platforms).
  • At least 1 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and parts in accordance with ASA-100 quality standards, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of all items.
  • Perform quality control inspections on goods being received and shipped in accordance with ASA-100 quality program.
  • Answer inquiries about stored inventory, quantities, conditions, certifications, and requests for photographs, for various stakeholders.
  • Verify that packing slips, invoices, and shipment documentation match the corresponding ship orders, including confirming part numbers, quantities, and values.
  • Coordinate logistics for large or high-volume shipments, ensuring adequate storage space is available and organizing inventory placement for efficient retrieval.
  • Package and prepare products for return to vendors, completing and processing all necessary return documentation and maintaining accurate records.
  • Inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments to confirm items are undamaged, properly packaged, and meet company and industry standards before acceptance or dispatch.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to shipping, inventory discrepancies, and receiving challenges, collaborating with team members and management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental management systems, and safety protocols during all shipping, receiving, and inventory handling processes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory transfers, and any discrepancies or issues, in alignment with ASA-100 documentation requirements.
  • Address shipping-related customer complaints and concerns, investigating issues promptly and implementing solutions in coordination with sales and logistics teams.
  • Safely move and store merchandise in designated warehouse locations by packaging, lifting, and transporting items as necessary, utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks for heavy or oversized goods.
