About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Freudenberg is responsible for preparing and processing finished goods for customer shipments, including creating shipping labels, documents, and packing lists, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The role involves assisting with receiving incoming shipments, inspecting for damages, and documenting them. The clerk will coordinate with logistics providers for scheduled pickups and deliveries to ensure timely product delivery. They will utilize the company's ERP system for entering and retrieving shipping information, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and order necessary shipping supplies. The position also includes assisting the Warehouse Manager, performing inventory control tasks such as restocking shelves and conducting cycle counts, and inspecting outgoing shipments for quality and proper packaging to prevent transit damage. Operating a forklift and reach truck is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse and/or inventory control experience preferred
  • Data entry experience and/or computer skills preferred
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAP preferred) and basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process finished goods to customer per SOP’s
  • Prepare shipping labels, documents, packing lists and customer paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with receiving incoming shipments, inspecting damages, and documentation
  • Work with logistics providers to scheduled pickups, deliveries, ensuring timely delivery of product
  • Utilize company ERP system to enter and retrieve shipping information
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized
  • Order boxes and shipping supplies as needed
  • Assist Warehouse Manager as needed
  • Assist with Inventory Control tasks, including restocking shelves and conducting cycle counts
  • Quality – inspect outgoing shipments to ensure product meets quality standards and package correctly to prevent damage in transit
  • Operate forklift and reach truck
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
