About The Position

Under moderate supervision, verifies and keeps records on outgoing material. Performs tasks to ship, pick, store, load, and pack materials as needed.

Requirements

• A thorough knowledge of material handling is required.
• Experience in the operation of forklifts, pallet trucks and electric hoists are preferred.
• Skills may be gained through on-the-job training and/or specialized training.
• Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 80 pounds) will be required.
• All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs.
• The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member.
• Performance will be measured on the function/duties described in the position description, accomplishments during the review period, and the methods/work skills used to achieve the goals.

Responsibilities

• Picks material for parts orders. Verifies identification of part and quantity required. Packs material for safe shipment to customers.
• Operates forklifts, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, and electric hoists to load and unload materials as needed.
• Prepares all necessary paperwork and documentation for the processing of work orders and the shipment of parts orders.
• Develops and maintains a good working relationship with all internal departments and with all outside suppliers and service providers.
• Cycle counts inventory as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
