About The Position

Value Added Distributors is looking for a driven, hardworking, and enthusiastic Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team of experts at our Shawano, WI location. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and will assist in the day-to-day shipping, receiving, inventory control activities, and local deliveries. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM and overtime as needed. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, holiday pay and more Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities: Stocking incoming products onto shelves. Picking and pulling of parts for customer orders with a high level of accuracy. Coordinate logistics and shipment details with UPS, FedEx, SpeeDee and LTL. Breaking down skids from incoming shipments. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and flow of product to the production floor. Receiving UPS and LTL shipments and entering data into a computer system. Pull and deliver the product to the proper inventory location, department, or personnel. Operating a forklift (training provided). Support continuous improvement and quality objectives. Adhere to established company policies and procedures. This position will be cross trained in various areas of the business including our vendor management inventory (VMI) at a local customer location. Actively participant with the VAC vision, mission, and values. Integrate each by aligning performance goals and business initiatives to ensure objectives are achieved. Requirements

  • Professional demeanor and ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Requires ability to safely lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record are required.
  • Must be 21+ years of age to drive company vehicles.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
  • Previous working knowledge of hydraulic components is a plus.
  • Forklift certified is a plus.
