About The Position

The Receiving Associate position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products, verifies and keeps records of incoming/outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing outlined duties. The successful candidate must be energetic, detail oriented and eager to learn.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 Year of Experience Preferred
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Experience in handling pallets, jacks , forklifts, and another warehouse equipment.
  • Proven experience as an order picker or another warehouse position.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Diligent and punctual.
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management directly and takes responsibility for own actions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Familiarity with computer skills; willingness to learn Point of Sale Inventory Functions.
  • Ability to lift 100lbs.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weight, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers, inserts items into containers and affixes shipping labels on packed containers.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Locate products using technology.
  • Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy.
  • Stores and stocks items, as appropriate.
  • Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks.
  • Wrap orders before loading trucks.
  • Operates forklift or uses pallet jack to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving are to storage or work areas.
  • Restock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.
  • Assist with set up and teardown of events, as needed.
  • Keep records of completed orders.
  • Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
