About The Position

We’re seeking a strategic, results-oriented Shipping Manager to lead outbound logistics at our Raleigh fulfillment center. Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the shipping lifecycle—from order processing to carrier coordination—while driving operational excellence, team development, and cross-functional alignment. Worldwide Golf focuses on the “Sure No Problem” mentality as it relates to customer experience. Meeting and exceeding customer expectations will remain at the forefront of all decisions and processes for the shipping team. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is a passionate process and personnel manager.

Requirements

5+ years of leadership experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
Experience with ERP platforms (SAP a bonus), WMS, and order management software (KIBO a bonus).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work flexible hours dictated by the requirements of the business
Problem solving skills that are solution focused
Strong work ethic, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

Outbound Shipping Supervision & Team Execution: Oversee daily outbound shipping operations to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective order fulfillment while enforcing standard processes and service expectations.
Supervise, coach, and support shipping leads and associates, serving as a key holder with responsibility for opening/closing duties and emergency response as needed.
Execute structured training and ongoing development to ensure team readiness and drive consistent performance and continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Service Level, Process Control & Performance Improvement: Manage staffing and daily execution to consistently meet internal and external SLAs across the fulfillment process.
Own the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of shipping SOPs.
Track and analyze KPIs to identify trends and maintain actionable dashboards.
Translate performance insights into clear improvement plans, while leading process enhancements that improve efficiency and accuracy.
Initiate and lead integration of new technologies that support continuous improvement .
Order Troubleshooting & Exception Management: Oversee the order troubleshooting process to ensure timely triage and resolution of fulfillment and shipping issues, partnering with required departments to support execution.
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-impact order exceptions, leading root cause analysis for shortages, misroutes, system errors, carrier failures, and inventory discrepancies to prevent recurrence and protect service levels.
Labor Forecasting: Develop labor plans and workload strategies to align staffing with forecasted and real-time volume demands based on seasonality and historical trends.
Shipping Supplies Management: Oversee ordering, inventory tracking, and usage of shipping supplies.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to ensure readiness and efficiency.
Carrier & Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with third-party carriers and logistics partners.
Resolve issues, ensure service-level compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, company policies, and safety protocols.
Promote a clean, secure, and organized work environment.
