Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior management experience
  • Prior warehouse/shipping experience
  • Understands how to manage personnel and process
  • Prior ERP/Inventory Management software experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and possess the ability and willingness to learn new software applications
  • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change

Responsibilities

  • Manage time punches and PTO for personnel
  • Manage issues or conflict that may arise inside of the business unit
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment
  • Facilitate the 8:30 meetings for the Shipping/Warehouse portion of the call
  • Develop and maintain a rotational schedule of assigned responsibilities for team members
  • Develop and maintain training materials/work instructions for all current and/or new processes
  • Conduct interviews to fill vacant roles inside the business unit
  • Oversee all aspects of training for new hires and sign off upon the completion of training.
  • Oversee the everyday operations of the Shipping/Warehouse business unit.
  • Oversee the receipt of various items including but not limited to finished goods, packaging materials, etc.
  • Manage aged inventory and the disposition of it in the warehouse.
  • Assist his/her superior with weekly KPI measurements and reporting
  • Inform personnel of any changes that occur to company policies
  • Ensure FIFO and other company procedures are being followed
  • Effectively navigate ERP/Inventory Management software
  • Ensure equipment is safe and in working order
  • Ensure staff are adhering to all MAPF safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure forklift inspections are being completed on a per shift basis
  • Ensure staff are completing assigned responsibilities in a timely manner
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of the warehouse to identify areas of improvement
  • Conduct audits of safety documents to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure damaged pallets are managed effectively and returned to inventory for shipment
  • Must be able to meet call-in requirements as well as work extended hours as necessary
  • Always foster a culture of safe behavior and Regulatory compliance
  • Always maintain a TEAM environment
  • Other duties as assigned
