About The Position

Hirsch is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Agent for a temp-to-hire role to work onsite at our Sparks, NV location.

Responsibilities

• Pull order ship tickets for review
• Test equipment
• Properly package and box up equipment
• Schedule all shipment pick-ups using the appropriate shipping company
• Load and unload pallets using the forklift
• Receive all incoming shipments
• Maintain inventory of all shipping supplies
• Additional manufacturing duties as needed (examples: assembly assistance, work in the machine shop, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stay focused and on task in busy / stressful situations.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow existing procedures.
• Must have basic Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet skills.
• Utilize hand tools (i.e. cordless / manual screwdriver, wire stripper, mallet) safely and effectively.
• Utilize heavy machinery (i.e. drill press, band saw, circular saw, belt sander) safely and effectively.
• Understand and apply inspection procedures and work instruction.
• Continuously seek to improve processes and procedures.
• Must possess a good work ethic and be capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
• Interact with co-workers in a positive and professional manner.
• Possess good organizational skills.
• Possess a positive attitude.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Depending on duty, required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds safely.
