About The Position
As the Shipping Lead, you will be responsible for building team capability and driving a positive team culture within the shipping department. You will oversee the small package area, manage inbound and outbound shipments, and provide accurate freight quotes while maintaining strong carrier relationships. Additionally, you will ensure that all outbound freight is properly loaded and that freight documentation is accurate and complete. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring timely, efficient, and reliable shipping operations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or related warehouse role
- Forklift certification (sit-down & stand-up)
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience managing inbound and outbound freight operations
- Knowledge of freight documentation and carrier processes
- Ability to provide accurate freight quotes and maintain carrier relationships
Nice To Haves
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP platforms
- Knowledge of transportation manangement systems (TMS)
- Superviosry experience in shipping or distribution environments.
