About The Position

The Shipping Lead ensures all outbound orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role serves as the point of contact for shipping operations, coordinating with carriers and internal teams to maintain accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, carrier requirements, and freight documentation.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn a warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must have a proven track record of being detailed oriented, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Forklift training and certification will be provided in-house (required to complete).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Physically able to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

  • Prior experience with warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Additional certifications in logistics or warehouse operations are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee daily shipping activities, including picking, packing, labeling, and preparing shipments.
  • Act as the primary contact for carriers, freight companies, and internal teams on shipping schedules and requirements.
  • Generate and review shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, and export paperwork.
  • Verify order accuracy and resolve discrepancies before shipment.
  • Track outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and communicate status updates as needed.
  • Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and reconciliation of shipping-related discrepancies.
  • Safely operate forklifts (training and certification provided).
  • Maintain compliance with company safety standards and shipping regulations.
  • Recommend and support process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
