About The Position

Primary Responsibilities Team Support & Communication Master the visual-management tools used to assign and track “ready-to-ship” orders, prioritize work, and manage holds. Serve as the main liaison between the office and floor teams, translating daily priorities into actionable tasks aligned with the supervisor/manager’s strategic plan. Escalate complex issues to supervisors/managers for validation before moving orders into packaging or shipment phases. Coordinate cross-departmentally with other leads and supervisors to resolve roadblocks and prevent process breakdowns. Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Packaging Quality Assurance Possess thorough knowledge of packaging standards for parcel, combo, LTL, and FTL shipments. Identify and recommend packaging adjustments for special-needs shipments, such as custom units, high-value items, or oversized loads. Partner with supervisors/managers to develop strategies for handling non-standard shipments. Training & Development Leverage on-the-job expertise to train staff across the parcel desk, combo station, and freight packaging areas. Stay current on procedural updates from supervisors/managers and effectively disseminate this information to the team. Proactively suggest process improvements and identify training needs. Floater / Team Backfill Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all floor-level shipping roles. Flexibly backfill positions as needed to sustain daily operations and meet departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2?years of experience in a comparable shipping or logistics role.
  • Forklift certification or demonstrable forklift operation experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (email, in-person, and English proficiency).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel.
