About The Position

TrueNorth Steel is hiring for a Shipping Coordinator in Fargo, ND. This position requires knowledge and experience with scheduling and communicating with trucking companies for pickup or deliveries, managing shipping transactions in an ERP system, and possessing excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. The Shipping Coordinator will collaborate with the site operations team to coordinate internal transfer orders and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associates Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
  • Coordinating shipments with FTC, Project Managers, Sales and Operations on all customer deliveries and transfers between sites.
  • Combine shipments if able to ensure the loads are most cost effective.
  • Communicating with Production and FTC daily on status upcoming shipments.
  • Update shipping software/schedules daily with current information.
  • Provide FTC yard trailer inventories to include loaded, unloaded and in the que for loading.
  • Ensure all trailers are loaded, inspected and verified complete with all required materials and necessary paperwork, including packing slips, MTRs, BOL.
  • File all shipping paperwork in correct place.
  • Attend weekly production and shipping meetings.
  • Attend Kick off meetings.
  • Provide FTC with appropriate information for outbound shipments.
  • Complete month end check off list for shipping.
  • Monitor and update shipping stations.
  • Ensure all shipping information is correct and communicate to FTC.
  • Shipping transactions for the product in the ERP system.
  • Ensure pictures of all outbound shipments are taken and uploaded in appropriate place.
  • Reporting of any material quality concerns.
  • Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
