Shipping Coordinator - 2nd Shift

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for clerical and administrative duties in the shipping department. The Shipping Clerk will handle all documentation for shipments and ensure accurate billing for all items shipped out.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must have an attention to detail.
- Previous experience in shipping and/or receiving is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Computer experience is required. Experience with Google Suite a plus.
- Must practice good personal hygiene.
- Work extended hours, weekends and overtime if needed.
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
- Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in shipping and/or receiving is preferred.
- Experience with Google Suite a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate documentation on shipments.
- Complete all bills of lading for outbound shipments and update the system with correct information to allow for carrier payment.
- Balance loader documentation with shipping order.
- Manifest shipping orders, billing and inventory control.
- Alert utility personnel of discrepancies if they arise.
- Resolve paperwork discrepancies with utility people as needed.
- Coordinates shipping and receiving activities with carriers and contacts both internal and external.
- Other duties as assigned.
