About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and organized Shipping Coordinator to oversee daily packing and shipping operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring customer orders are packed securely, shipped on time, and processed accurately according to company procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments
- Must follow PPE and safety requirements
Responsibilities
- Direct workflow within the shipping department to meet daily shipping goals
- Ensure packaging quality meets company standards
- Maintain packaging material inventory
- Prepare and organize shipping documentation including packing slips, labels, and bills of lading
- Coordinate UPS, FedEx, and freight shipments
- Perform ERP transactions accurately according to company procedures
- Compare freight costs to ensure safe and cost-effective delivery
- Work with freight carriers to resolve damage claims
