About The Position

As Shipping Coordinator you will play a leading role in our company’s positive culture by helping us create an effective organization as the automotive industry moves toward an electric future. The Shipping Coordinator position is responsible for the daily operations associated with the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics personnel, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments.

Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • This role may require travel, with reasonable prior notice (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position or bachelor’s degree
  • Must have good working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership
  • Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to deliver results on Key Performance Indicators
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability 
  • Strong understanding of the systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain or material handling
  • Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds
  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment
  • Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English / Korean
  • Extensive knowledge of Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
  • Critical thinking and an analytical mindset
  • Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goal

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling shipments and planning logistics
  • Preparing paperwork for shipments
  • Reviewing invoices
  • Packaging items and products
  • Checking orders for accuracy
  • Tracking and updating the status of shipments
  • Operating warehouse equipment
  • Organizing and cataloging inventory
  • Creating customs invoices when required (Mexico and Canada)
  • Duties may be modified at any time to meet business needs
