About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the outbound shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed, packaged, and shipped accurately and on time. This role works closely with warehouse staff, production teams, carriers, and customer service to maintain efficient shipping workflows and ensure compliance with company procedures and transportation regulations

Requirements

2-3 years of shipping, logistics, warehouse operations experience
Experience preparing shipping documentation and coordinating with carriers
Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse operations
Forklift experience, with ability to get forklift certification by Kordsa
Basic DOT Hazmat training
Moderate knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, S2K, Oracle, etc.
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Problem Solving and Decision Making
Teamwork and Collaboration
Basic math skills
Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Planning and Organizing
Attention to Detail
Basic computer skills, especially in MS Excel

Nice To Haves

5-7 years of shipping, logistics, warehouse operations experience
Experience with scheduling carriers, knowledge of FTL / LTL shipments
Working knowledge of international shipment documentation
Knowledge of System 2000 (S2K)

Responsibilities

Create paperwork necessary for all outbound shipment
Issue all pick tickets (sent by CSRs) for next day’s shipments to the warehouse personnel
Compile next day’s shipping schedule
Schedule Kordsa routed shipments with approved carriers
Schedule pickup times for customer routed shipments
Track the status of all shipments to ensure on time pickups and deliveries
Other duties as assigned
