About The Position
The shipping clerk is a position that is responsible for deliveries and shipping equipment. Efficient time management that includes meeting deadlines and commitment to company service standards are necessary. Scheduling, organizational skills and building material knowledge and experience are required. This person will schedule all deliveries and manage the electronic delivery system (DDMS). Requires the ability to interact and communicate well with customers, all store personnel, and management.
Requirements
- Basic education that includes ability to competently read and write.
- A minimum of one-year experience in the building industry
- Should have knowledge of building industry
- Work requires much physical effort, involves little sitting, standing, walking, and some heavy lifting on a regular basis.
- Works in a non-air-conditioned environment.
- This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant heavy work and occasional extra heavy work.
