About The Position

Perricone Farms, a leading citrus juice supplier located in Fort Pierce, FL, is seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to join their team. This is a fast-paced, full-time position offering long-term, consistent employment with a competitive benefits package. The role is for the 3rd Shift, Monday - Friday from 11:00pm - 7:30am, with typical 10-12-hour workdays and possible Saturdays. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing shipping orders, verifying details, assisting drivers, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.

Responsibilities

  • Enter Shipping Orders into ERP System (NetSuite): Input and track shipping tickets, orders, and inventory data using the ERP system (NetSuite). Ensure all shipping data is accurately recorded and updated.
  • Verify Shipping Details: Double-check customer information, product details, and quantities in the system before processing shipments. Ensure that all shipping orders meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Assist Drivers with Paperwork: Provide drivers with necessary shipping paperwork, including bills of lading, manifests, and any special instructions for delivery. Ensure drivers have all required documents for smooth and accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Staff: Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure that products are ready for shipment according to scheduled delivery times. Ensure proper inventory allocation and timely preparation for shipments.
  • Maintain Inventory Records: Update inventory levels in the ERP system to reflect shipped or received goods. Ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Resolve Shipping Discrepancies: Work with drivers and customers to resolve any issues with incorrect or missing shipments. Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting shipping-related problems.
  • Maintain Shipping Records: Ensure that all shipping and receiving records are accurately filed and easily retrievable for future reference or audits. Keep documentation organized and up to date.
  • Communicate with Customer Service and Sales Teams: Provide updates and support to customer service or sales teams regarding shipping delays or issues. Ensure timely communication with internal teams to resolve customer concerns.
  • Administrative Support to Shipping Supervisor/Manager: Assist with daily administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and preparing documents for the shipping department. Provide support to the shipping supervisor in day-to-day operations.
  • Preparing and Update Shipping Schedules: Work closely with the shipping supervisor to update and track shipment schedules. Ensure timely deliveries and accurate load planning.
  • Maintain Shipping Department Files and Records: Organize and file records for the shipping department, ensuring easy access for audits or management review. Maintain compliance with all internal documentation standards.
  • Coordinate Communication with Other Departments: Act as a liaison between the shipping department and other teams (e.g., inventory, procurement, customer service) to ensure a smooth workflow. Foster collaboration between departments to improve operational efficiency.
  • Notifies supervisor of unusual problems.
  • Works in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Follows health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain and keep work area according to cGMP.
  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Conduct all verification activities to ensure finished product comply with food safety and quality specifications.
  • Participate in the yearly review of the food safety system.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality system.
  • Responsible for Non-GMO SGS Supply Chain Standards.
