About The Position

Shipping Clerk – Split Shift (11a-7p)/2nd Shift (2p-10p) Granite City, Illinois Starting at $20.51/hr + Bonuses + Shift Premiums Granite City Processing (formerly Heidtman Steel) is growing, and we’re looking for reliable, motivated individuals to join our 2nd shift team. The shipping clerk is responsible for loading activities, scheduling truck appointments, and ensuring accurate, timely shipment of materials. Requirements

You should be computer-literate to maintain the associated production documents.
This is a physically demanding job which requires standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and the ability to move up to 50 lbs.

Shipping/receiving experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
High attention to detail; accurate data entry
Proficient with computer systems
Strong math skills and ability to follow written instructions
Experience driving a forklift, overhead crane, material handler, and steel handler experience is desired.
Prior experience in machine operation and/or steel manufacturing experience is preferred for Slitter Opportunities
Prior experience operating steel slitter machines is a bonus
