We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing documentation and performing all clerical functions to meet or exceed customer delivery expectations. This role plays a key part in checking to ensure orders are correctly completed and supporting daily warehouse operations. Clear communication skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment.
Ability to understand and operate PC equipment running under Microsoft Windows Format and ERP system – SAP a must.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
High school diploma or GED required
Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience required
HAZ-Mat Training
Fork Lift Certification

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with shipping software and barcode scanners is a plus

Responsibilities

Accurately identify, handle and prepare production orders for shipment.
Understand HYDAC Quality Policy and Quality Objectives as related to this position.
Post goods, issue deliveries, print packing lists, create bill of ladings and other paperwork associated with shipments according to company standards.
Verify shipping documents, labels, and order accuracy according to instructions/requirements
Maintain shipping logs and update tracking information in the system
Process shipments using UPS, DHL, AIT, FEDEX and LTL, Hazmat, Hot shots, etc shipments.
Respond to emails in a timely manner.
Clear communication skills written and verbal with internal and external departments, customers, services, Etc.
Create and maintain (update) any new or existing work in a timely manner.
Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Operate mobile equipment including fork lift and pallet jack.
Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization as needed.
