About The Position

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, verifying, and processing outgoing shipments to ensure orders are accurate, properly documented, and shipped on time. This role supports warehouse, production, and customer service teams by maintaining accurate shipping records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Has a High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possesses previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience, preferred.
  • Has basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP or shipping software.
  • Is able to read packing lists, work orders, and shipping documents.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Has a Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain), preferred.
  • Experienced with ERP/WMS systems, preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of domestic and international shipping procedures, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and processing outgoing shipments according to company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Verifying product counts, part numbers, and packaging accuracy prior to shipment.
  • Generating shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and required documentation.
  • Coordinating shipments with carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight providers, etc.).
  • Scheduling pickups and communicating shipment readiness to logistics partners.
  • Maintaining accurate shipping records within ERP/WMS systems.
  • Inspecting packages for damage, proper labeling, and securing packaging.
  • Working closely with warehouse and production teams to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Tracking shipments and providing updates when necessary.
  • Maintaining clean and organized shipping work areas.
  • Following all safety procedures and company policies.
