About The Position

To maintain superior customer focus, we are seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position will be responsible for the shipping of our GO Switch and Switchbox products as specified to meet order requirements and on-time delivery of those products. For the right candidate, this role can lead to other challenging opportunities in our supply chain in Louisville, or perhaps within the vast Emerson network of companies around the world! In this role, you will be responsible for: Verifies the accuracy of outgoing shipments and orders Computes duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of product that is exported to foreign counties Processes US and International paperwork for transaction completeness and accuracy Ensures that safety techniques are used in all aspects of daily work responsibilities Receives and reads customer order to identify item(s) to be pulled Fills customers’ orders in accordance with specifications on order form Packages orders using appropriate shipping containers and packaging Operates standard or automatic machines, such as electronic scales and tapes machines Is able to work split shifts, when required Accurately prepares orders for shipment to include secure packaging and wrapping Responsible for accurate shipments (product and documentation) Responsible accurate reporting and on-time shipments of customer product as required Completes other assignments as assigned by management or designate

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Minimum of two years warehouse inventory experience
  • Forklift operations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Must be a self-starter and able to perform without direction of supervision
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds intermittently
  • Ability to sit and/or stand daily for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to defer to management when appropriate
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Responsibilities
