About The Position

Key Responsibilities Organizing, sorting, and transferring goods from one location to another. Monitor company packages from the start to finish, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. May operate tier-lift truck or use fork truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area. Maintain good housekeeping standards. May receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment and be designated Returned-Goods Receiving Clerk. Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company. Maintain a safe working environment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Other duties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior manufacturing or other experience involving use or operation of equipment is preferred, but not required.
Candidates may be required to complete a skills assessment test.
A valid driver's license and experience with operating a forklift with the ability to maintain certification.
Basic computer knowledge is required.
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any levels of employees.
Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds
Prolonged standing, crawling, kneeling and walking while performing job assignments.
Safety toed/ slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor.
