About The Position

Ensures shipments are made within expected time frames by reviewing shipping lists received via printer from customer services and prioritizing tasks to meet dealer and customer agreements. Receives parts from the Warehouse (identified by pick ticket) by sorting and posting as indicated to ensure accuracy of shipments. Protects shipments by packaging parts together, wrapping, and placing in boxes, weighing, typing in label information. This is done to ensure shipments arrive at the right place within the expected time from. Protects accuracy of shipping documentation by entering information on a shipping form (1copy to go with the package, 1 copy for accounting, 1 copy for records) then entering in computer to generate a report for customer service Tracks shipments at the end of each day, closing out and printing reports backing up all records on computer disk, to keep track of what is shipped – where and when. Other duties may be assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and documents in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal customers, peers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance, with and without the use of a calculator or computer.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
