About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail oriented individual to support our shipping department. This role involves preparing materials for shipment, following shipment schedules, and coordinating with outside carriers. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical tasks, data entry, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills for data entry.
• Ability to follow schedules and interpret shipment documents.
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction of all units of measure.
• Ability to read and understand load-out lists and shipment schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for shipment by counting, boxing, crating, or palletizing.
• Enter job numbers and quantities accurately into computer systems.
• Follow and interpret shipping schedules and load-out lists.
• Create packing slips, labels, and bills of lading.
• Communicate professionally with outside carriers.
• Operate a forklift (must be willing and able to obtain certification).
• Lift up to 50 lbs. safely and consistently.
