About The Position

This position is a Shipping Operator responsible to ensure the activities in the Autonomous Coil Yard are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives within the shipping department on their respective crew assignments.

Requirements

• Quality, detail, and safety oriented; mechanically inclined and self-motivated.
• Good insight into team dynamics with strong verbal communication skills and computer literate.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.
• Previous steel mill experiences preferred.
• Operator must have a comprehensive understanding of computers and be able to navigate through multiple applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements are followed and a priority.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in job areas and grounds.
• Be able to communicate with the Supervisors on issues or concerns that may arrive regarding the Autonomous Coil Yard.
• Required to be crane certified and show proficiency to safely operate a crane.
• Support all areas as needed in the Shipping Department.
