Responsibilities: Shipping Operations Prepare and package outgoing parts, assemblies, and products in accordance with customer and aerospace packaging standards (foam, barrier bags, and custom crates). Create and verify shipping labels, bills of landing, and export documentation using ERP and shipping systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight). Coordinate with carriers or pickups and monitor shipment statuses as needed. Documentation & Compliance Ensure all shipments include the correct documentation such as certificates of conformance, packing slips, material certifications, and export control paperwork. Follow ITAR, EAR, and AS9100 protocols for documentation, labeling, and secure handling of controlled items. Maintain accurate shipping logs and records in accordance with internal audit and traceability requirements. Inventory & ERP Perform transactions in ERP system to record shipments, track inventory movement, and close jobs as applicable. Assist with part counts, box labeling, and shipment verification to reduce errors and improve on-time delivery. Report inventory or packaging material shortages to the supervisor for restocking. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Quality, Production, and Program Management to meet customer ship dates and resolve shipment holds or discrepancies. Communicate delays or shipping issues proactively and assist in expediting critical orders as needed. Facility & Safety Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other materials handling equipment to transport goods within the facility. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area in accordance with OSHA and internal safety. Participate in cycle counts or year-end physical inventory activities. QualificationsEducation/Experience: High school diploma or GED. 1-2 years of experience in shipping/ receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Technical Skills: Familiarity with packaging methods for sensitive or high-value parts. Basic computer skills and experience with ERP systems and shipping software. Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment safely. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ITAR controlled shipments and AS9100 certified environments. Knowledge of international shipping documentation and Incoterms. Forklift certification. Understanding of export control regulations. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Warehouse/shipping area in a production facility with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. May require standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting. Shift work, overtime, or weekend work may be required to meet delivery deadlines.
