Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and strong Excel skills required, including the ability to develop spreadsheets, and training documents; experience using WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years working in a Transportation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the contactless check-in systems including checking drivers in and out for the Plymouth Shipping Department.
  • Communicate with yard spotters and drivers to ensure trailers are moved in a timely manner and are set to correct trailer temperatures.
  • Prepare and organize loading paperwork including manifests, bills of lading, and packing lists.
  • Communicate with customers and carriers to ensure loading appointments are scheduled timely and correctly.
  • Ensure temperature recorder inventory and input recorder data into customer portals
  • Leverages WMS, TMS, ERP, and related systems to perform data entry, generate reports, track trends, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Act as backup for the Transportation Specialist and provide support to the Distribution Supervisor, Distribution Manager, and Personnel Scheduler as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
