About The Position

Under general supervision, print and prepare packing lists and requisitions for customer orders and outside carriers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine notes, documentation, and complete forms accurately.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to learn various software programs.
  • Knowledge of medical device or related area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with employees of various disciplines within various departments and all other internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing daily workload priorities as directed and accurately perform detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow through and resolve order issues.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and synchronize multiple projects.
  • Ability to function in a controlled environment under domestic and international regulations and handle extremely confidential data.
  • Ability to use forklift or electric pallet jack.
  • Ability to use LabTrac, AS400, and various office equipment such as computer, printer, copier, fax, and phone.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Communicate with outside warehouse regarding customer orders and replenishment orders.
  • Accurately package product content to ensure safe handling during shipment.
  • Allocate inventory for customer orders.
  • Check for accuracy of unit measure, quantities of order, and carrier bills.
  • Prepare orders in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines.
  • Notify Supervisor or Planning Department when discrepancies occur in inventory
  • Perform data entry for stock movement.
  • Perform data entry for confirming customer shipments. Accurately indicate which items are shipped and/or backordered.
  • Print customer invoice.
  • Place pack list and invoice in customer package.
  • Use appropriate meter station to prepare carrier labels. Select appropriate ship method. Accurately place carrier label on package and sort to correct staging area to await pick-up.
  • Maintain work area, and supplies in clean and neat fashion, informing supervisor of safety issues as necessary.
  • Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures, including ISO, safety and security measures.
  • Move materials with electric pallet, load trucks as required.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
