About The Position

Valley Cabinet is looking for a reliable Shipping Associate to join our 1st shift team! This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and takes pride in quality. This role requires regular lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs. As a Valley Cabinet Team Member, you’ll enjoy: Short Fridays — finish work at noon and get a head start on your weekend. What you will do: A Shipping Associate is responsible for the quality assurance and packaging of cabinet doors and related components.

Requirements

Prepare and package the product for shipment and/or customer pick up according to company specifications.
Organize, prioritize, and prepare shipments per schedule.
Skid and wrap boxed product/containers.
Table saw and vertical saw operation
Use of computer to enter shipping information
Ensure work orders are completed successfully, on-time, and meet customer specifications.
Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
No required education or job experience.
Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.
Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.
Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.
