About The Position

Working as a member of the Shipping Team, the Shipping Associate is responsible for loading and strapping the pontoon boats to the trailers, also building the steel on the trailers for the load while following all safety policies and procedures. Individuals in this role must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-focused environment, and be able to work in heat, rain, and snow. Shipping associates work longer hours at the end of the month so must be flexible the last week of each month. Barletta’s culture is what sets us apart and creates a great employee experience. Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, push & pull for 8+ hours and lift upward of 25+ lbs
Ability to adapt to climate, inside and outside
Must display good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to follow policies and procedures and wear required PPE
Must be able to multi-task while remaining calm under pressure
Ability to work hours as required by management

Responsibilities

Work in a safe manner.
Load and unload pontoon boats using a hoist system.
Perform daily safety checks and basic preventative maintenance on the hoists.
Ability to respond quickly to numerous requests in a fast-paced work environment.
Assignments given by supervisor as required.
