About The Position

Shipping associates prepare shipments and freight deliveries by carefully loading and securing shipments on tractor trailers for local, regional, and national deliveries. Most truck loaders work within teams to quickly and efficiently load and unload trucks while maintaining loading dock safety and ensuring that materials are protected in transit. Duties and Responsibilities: Pull required completed product from production to shipping department according to proper paperwork and route scheduling. Load completed units into the appropriate truck/trailer for delivery. Observe and inspect all product that is being loaded to ensure maximum quality standards are meet. Truck loaders are also responsible for securing materials for shipment. This typically involves following best practices for packing trucks as well as using materials to prevent items from shifting in transit. Ability to work in a team environment to complete the tasks at hand. Ability to travel with a driver if necessary as a helper to unload product at different delivery points. Requirements Education and Training Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required Experience Requirements: Minimum of one (1) year experience in window & door manufacturing or related field preferred but not required. Special Skills Required: Possesses the ability to understand and communicate clearly in English & Spanish Ability to read a tape measure. Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail Possesses a high degree of organizational skill. Ability to get along with other employees. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
