Location New Castle, DE Job Function Reporting into the Shipping Lead, the Shipping Associate I - Entry position will be based out of New Castle, DE and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all shipping activities within the warehouse or distribution center. This role involves managing a team of shipping associates, ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products, and maintaining a well-organized shipping department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Read and write English, follow verbal and written instructions, and use simple math.
  • Minimum 6 months in a shipping and receiving environment.
  • Knowledge of shipping processes, carriers, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Forklift Certified or experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the shipment of goods produced and delivered materials that are received.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report on inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Participates in physical inventories of warehouse and/or manufacturing area.
  • Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of outgoing orders.
  • Perform other shipping and receiving duties as assigned.
