About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for driving improvement with customer satisfaction through leading Shipping & Receiving department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervise shipping and receiving employees Serve as primary contact for international orders acting as VOC at the final shipping process Coordinate delivery of shipments using established routing guides Design, implement and maintain standard work / instructions allowing for the timely receipt of material and the accuracy of shipping Drive accuracy through KPI monitoring In coordination with Quality, design and implement standard procedures for ensuring raw material and packaging quality at time of receipt, as per material specifications Track and monitor root cause of receiving and shipping issues to develop corrective action plans Manage truck runs and follow up with issues regarding vendors in conjunction with the Purchasing department Manage internal material movement in conjunction with production leaders Manage vehicle inspections, tags and vehicle maintenance Verify inventory accuracy in SAP as needed Pull-through work-orders in SAP Lead and drive Lean initiatives

Requirements

  • A High School diploma is required-college degree is preferred
  • Manufacturing experience required, preferably in mechanical products
  • Experience with SAP or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system required
  • Understanding / experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Strong computer and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience supervising a team preferred
  • Strong international shipping experience required
  • Experience working with LTL freight forwarders required
  • Team-building and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and problem-solving skills
