The Shipping and Receiving - Inventory Clerk is responsible for recording and maintaining control of all purchased and produced inventory items, ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or have a GED
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to walk up and down flights of stairs multiple times during a shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry from handwritten material requisition tickets
  • Ability to accurately record and count small parts
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a loud shop floor environment
  • Ability to follow a material delivery schedule with minimum supervision
  • Ability to wear the required PPE (Earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes) throughout their shift when on the production floor
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills
  • Must be a US person (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status)

Nice To Haves

  • 3 to 5 years of material handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Stand and walk for up to an 8-hour shift
  • Walk up and down flights of stairs multiple times during a shift
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • Receive and accurately stock incoming material following company procedures
  • Issue and accurately deliver stock from storage to production following company procedures
  • Perform accurate data entry from handwritten material requisition tickets
  • Accurately record and count small parts
  • Effectively communicate in a loud shop floor environment
  • Follow a material delivery schedule with minimum supervision
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory control system and track order file posting sales, receipts, lost sales, and other transactions daily
  • Master all inventory department duties such as Shipping/Receiving parts, Operating inventory Stores, Water spider, and participate in rotation within the department within six months from the starting date
  • Wear required PPE (Earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes) throughout the shift when on the production floor
  • Participate in cycle counting, 5S, and Lean initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
