About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant movement of materials in and out of the foundry. This position plays a critical role in maintaining part traceability, supporting production flow, and coordinating daily logistics activities with internal teams and external partners. Who are we? Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics (manufacturing or heavy-industrial environment preferred; foundry experience a plus).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred).
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs, move heavy skids, and work in warm or cold foundry environments.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, digital documentation, and shipping software.
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in data entry and paperwork.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify shipment documentation, including packing lists and certifications, using the Oracle ERP system.
  • Coordinate pickups with carriers (UPS/FedEx, LTL/FTL) and ensure proper scheduling of outbound freight.
  • Package castings and materials according to aerospace/industrial standards, including labeling, protection, and segregation requirements.
  • Complete all shipping transactions in the ERP system with high accuracy.
  • Receive incoming materials and verify paperwork for correct part numbers, quantities, and documentation.
  • Unpack inbound castings and perform initial visual checks for damage, shortages, or inconsistencies.
  • Process receipts in the ERP system and route materials to the correct departments.
  • Escalate discrepancies when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate physical and digital records for all materials moving through the department.
  • Ensure proper lot traceability, heat numbers, serials, and certification bundles.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve inventory or documentation issues.
  • Work closely with internal teams to prioritize urgent production needs, customer deliveries, and expedited parts.
  • Support outbound OSP (Outside Processing) shipments and returns, ensuring clean and complete documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area; support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Follow all foundry safety protocols, including PPE requirements, safe lifting procedures, and handling of heavy materials.
