About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the department supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Associate will build wooden shipping boxes and pallets, prepare products for shipment, and support shipping and receiving coworkers. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of manufacturing, shipping, or warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to multiple tasks
• Capable of working occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of metalworking processes and equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build wooden shipping boxes and pallets according to specifications
• Prepare products for shipping and backup shipping and receiving coworkers
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Measure and construct wooden shipping boxes accurately
• Use a variety of hand tools to perform tasks
• Follow written and verbal directions and work instructions
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet production expectations
• Inspect products for quality assurance and identify any errors
• Record and verify the accuracy of outgoing and incoming shipments
• Document damages or discrepancies for reimbursement and reconciliation
• Store incoming materials and supplies in the correct warehouse locations
• Maintain familiarity with Valley Craft products
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
