About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately preparing daily UPS and mail shipments by picking, packing, labeling, weighing, and staging orders for pickup or mailing. This role maintains an organized shipping area, communicates daily backorders to Inventory Control, and supports efficient shipping operations. The clerk also assists internal departments in locating parts and restages bulk items to improve picking efficiency.

  • High School Diploma | Education or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily UPS and mail orders for shipment.
  • Pick item(s) on shipper.
  • Pack items if necessary.
  • Label items with label(s) provided with shipper.
  • Weigh and enter shipping cost.
  • Stage package(s) for pickup or take to mailroom for mailing.
  • Maintain cleanliness of UPS area.
  • Forward daily backorders to Inventory Control for review.
  • Assist customer service, research and development, manufacturing, and shipping co-workers in locating parts and accessories.
  • Restage bulk parts items for efficient picking.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Following all rules, policies, and procedures established by Wood-Mizer, including codes of conduct, safety regulations, and other guidelines.
