About The Position

ID3 Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our fast-paced scenic fabrication and logistics operations. This role is essential to ensuring materials, components, and finished products move efficiently through our shop and to job sites across the country. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment and understands the importance of accuracy, timing, and teamwork in a production-driven setting. A typical day involves reviewing incoming deliveries and outbound shipments, unloading materials and checking them against purchase orders, coordinating with Project Managers and Shop Foremen for outgoing shipments, verifying secure packaging and correct labeling, updating inventory records, organizing materials for production teams, loading trucks, preparing bills of lading, and working with carriers for on-time departures. The role also includes double-checking the dock, cleaning the workspace, and confirming the next day's shipping schedule. The clerk acts as a key link between departments, ensuring smooth communication and operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred
  • Familiarity with shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, freight carriers) and inventory tracking
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly
  • Basic math and measurement skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a production, fabrication, or construction environment is a plus
  • Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Prepare outgoing shipments including packaging, crating, labeling, and documentation
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Shop Foremen, and install teams on shipping timelines
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track material movement within the shop
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  • Identify and report damaged or missing materials and resolve discrepancies
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and proper handling procedures
