About The Position

Join our team as a Shipping/Receiving associate! We're looking for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Shipping/Receiving associate, you'll play a crucial role in the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. This position requires working with raw and/or cooked packaged products. Typical assignments may include Stagers, Loaders, Turret Truck Operators, Receivers, Receiving Lift Operators and Jockeys.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of continuous work experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
• Previous experience in operation of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to pass forklift/pallet jack certification courses offered by Perdue

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years' experience in a distribution warehouse preferred.
• Current Certification

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Unload and load trucks, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
• Ability to accurately document and track inventory.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are securely packed and labeled correctly.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
