Shipping and Receiving Associate
About The Position
The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team! The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, specializes in customized electrical insulation products. With 16 global facilities, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. Implement the Order Fulfillment Process steps related to the preparation of shipments and related documentation to ensure the complete satisfaction of the customer’s requirements. Knowledge of various items in stock; ability to select appropriate type and size of container; using appropriate packing material to prevent breakage or damage; closing and sealing containers; applying labels or entering identifying data on container.
Requirements
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, customer portals, and international paperwork.
- Ability to read production or shipping documents.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage order shipments using FedEx, UPS, and customer-specific portals.
- Prepare product for shipment to the customer by inspecting, labeling and packaging product according to standard procedures.
- Confirm correct quantity/counts against work order or packing slip.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Other duties as assigned.
